Staff Analytics Engineer
Summary
A Staff Analytics Engineer who works with different departments to understand business needs, creates data modeling solutions, abstracts business concepts into quantitative metrics, models and architects data for analytical purposes, and orchestrates data pipelines using SQL, data modeling techniques, and workflow orchestration tools.
Responsibilities
- Articulate with different areas to understand business needs and present the best data modeling solutions
- Abstract business concepts into quantitative metrics (KPIs, OKRs, etc.)
- Model and architect data for analytical purposes following best practices, including data quality and documentation
- Orchestrate workflows related to data pipelines
- Experience with implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of data pipelines
- Advanced SQL
- Experience with analytical data modeling (star schema, snowflake, and data vault)
- Knowledge of architecture techniques for analytical purposes (Data Mart, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Mesh, etc.)
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Looker, Metabase, Power BI, etc.)
- Strong communication skills to deal with technical and business stakeholders
- Experience with workflow orchestration using Airflow, Luigi, Azkaban, DBT, or Dataform
- Knowledge of Python, Scala, Java, or Go
