In this role you drive the technical direction of cybersecurity data products, ensuring trust, scalability and impact. You will set data modelling standards, analytics architecture and engineering practices to enable high‑quality insights, AI-powered analytics and secure self‑service analytics. You’ll partner with security, platform and engineering teams to shape long‑term strategy, governance and AI responsibility, while mentoring Analytics Engineers to deliver data products at scale.

- Define and drive the technical direction for cybersecurity data products and establish engineering standards and operating models
- Lead the design and evolution of analytics architecture supporting reporting, ML, GenAI and AI-powered analytics at scale
- Set data integration, transformation and quality strategies across raw, trusted and curated layers
- Governing data modelling standards and semantic layer design for self‑service analytics and threat investigation
- Champion engineering excellence: coding standards, testing, peer reviews and documentation
- Lead Automation and DataOps practices to improve deployment, monitoring and reliability of data products
- Shape AI enablement: analytics agents and conversational analytics with governance and human oversight
- Establish data governance, security and compliance standards across the analytics estate
- Influence roadmaps and architectural decisions with security, engineering and data leaders
- Support recruitment, coaching and development of Analytics Engineers and foster engineering excellence
- Strong passion for data engineering, data modelling, data quality and scalable data products for analytics/AI use cases
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale data products and defining technical strategy and standards
- Python/PySpark expertise and advanced SQL for large-scale transformations
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks on Azure) and lakehouse architectures
- Deep understanding of analytics architecture, data modelling and semantic layers
- ETL/ELT expertise with Airflow and dbt
- Software engineering best practices including Git and CI/CD
- Automation/DataOps experience for deployment, monitoring and reliability
- Dashboard and self-service analytics development (Tableau)
- Experience with analytics agents/conversational analytics and responsible AI governance
- Leadership and mentoring skills with ability to grow Analytics Engineers
- Stakeholder influence and ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and threat detection use cases
