Staff Brand Designer

About Us

Gumloop is the piece of AI infrastructure companies roll out to let everyone build agents securely. Let people who understand the problem build and share agents, manage their access to data, choose your AI models and host it all in your own cloud.

We're a small team building as fast as humanly possible. Gusto, Ramp, Shopify, Samsara, Instacart, and Opendoor are running agents on Gumloop across their company. We've raised over $70M from Benchmark, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, Nexus Ventures to scale and are looking for people who care as much as we do to join the team.

Here’s what life at Gumloop is like:

  • Our beliefs – The Handbook

  • Our adventures – Wall of Photos

  • What we’re working on – Changelog

Role Overview

As a Staff Brand Designer at Gumloop, you own the visual identity of the company.

This is a high-ownership role for a creative who sweats the details and has built an aesthetic philosophy through years of high-level work. You will work directly with product and marketing, holding the highest craft bar at the company.

Identity

Trust in a Autonomy

When software acts on your behalf, every touchpoint either builds confidence or erodes it. Our brand is the interface for building this trust. How we name things, how we explain what an agent did, the visuals that communicate what's happening under the hood. All of it shapes whether someone feels comfortable letting go of the wheel.

Multiplayer as a Multiplier

AI adoption doesn't scale through mandates, it spreads through people. One person's effort building an agent empowers their team, then amplifies across their company. Our brand should make that spread feel inevitable, every effort should be worth showing off.

What you’ll do

  • Shape the core narrative of the Gumloop brand across every external and internal facing touchpoint.

  • Define a unique direction and style for communicating technical ideas through clear, compelling visuals.

  • Take ownership over every small detail, no matter how small.

  • Own projects end-to-end, from concept through launch, working directly with product and marketing.

  • Distill actionable insights from brand feedback and conversations, then turn them into work.

  • Hold the highest bar of craft at the company.

What you bring

  • Experience creating original brand work that demonstrates exceptional visual craft and strong creative direction.

  • Strong opinions about how a brand should make others feel, but have self-awareness.

  • Ability to clearly articulate why something works, and why it doesn’t.

  • Experience operating independently, setting or significantly evolving a company’s visual identity, ideally as a solo designer, early design hire, independent practitioner, or highly autonomous studio designer.

  • Aptitude for learning new tools that enable you to express creative ideas.

  • Judgment into when work meets the bar, needs another round, and when good is enough to keep momentum.

Bonus

  • Motion design or animation experience.

  • Experience developing characters, illustration systems, or brand mascots.

  • Experience creating brands for AI, technical audiences, developers, or enterprise software products.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive salary and meaningful equity

  • Generous paid time off: 24 days for SF employees and 20 days globally, use them as you need

  • $350/month wellness benefit to spend on gym, spa, equipment, or whatever keeps you at your best

  • 15 days of temporary remote work flexibility per year

  • 401k match up to 6%
