Our around 20,000 employees worldwide focus on innovation alongside the societal megatrends of digitalization, smart living, energy efficiency, and sustainability. Whatever your role is, you are a part of a talented team that enjoys exploring and designing new technologies.

Your new responsibilities

  • Develop and validate AI/ML/Mathematical models (physics-based and data-driven) performance. Establish full data pipeline from end-to-end

  • Design and optimize processing algorithms including signal processing, ML/AI techniques selection, feature extraction and threshold calibration with guardrails

  • Containerize and deploy model inference on edge or on-prem compute with zero or minimal-downtime operation

  • Maintain model versioning, configuration management and deployment scripts across production environments

  • Drive continuous improvement with six sigma methodology on model prediction power enhancement, inference latency, compute cost and automation coverage across manufacturing lines

  • Collaborate with Process and Equipment Engineering to translate domain knowledge (KPIV/KPOV, OCAP) into model requirements, or with R&D and NPI in new product developement state

  • Define SOP of detecting model capability drifts and execute recalibration

  • Troubleshoot first-level issues: algorithmic errors, inference failures, edge device connectivity and communication issue

  • Integrate edge computing units with machine systems via industrial protocols for real-time data or batch acquisition

  • Coordinate with IT/OT on network infrastructure, cybersecurity and MES system interfaces for model deployment

What we look for

  • Candidate must have Bachelor/Master's in Computer Engineering, Data Analytics or Physics (for signal processing).

  • 3-5 years in manufacturing automation, ML/AI deployment or industrial data engineering. Exposure to semiconductor/optoelectronics manufacturing or software/algorithm development.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt (minimum) or Black Belt preferred for Staff. Project experience spanning at least 3 functional areas: Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, IT/OT or Data Science. DMAIC-driven model development lifecycle experience.

  • Experienced as technical project lead across cross-functional matrix teams. Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders toward intelligent automation adoption with tangible value proposition and risk mitigation plan.

  • Experienced in root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone)

  • Experienced in Python coding
