What You’ll Be Part Of

As a leader overseeing Infotainment system validation at HARMAN, you will drive the strategic testing and quality assurance of system software to meet and exceed client expectations. You will champion continuous validation using diverse test methodologies, ensuring optimal software quality and system performance. Collaborating directly with clients, you will coordinate and conduct vehicle-level testing, fostering strong customer relationships. You will mentor and support development teams in early defect identification and resolution, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to project release plans, proactively manage change, and steer the team toward successful project outcomes.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Staffing and Resource Management: Oversees end-to-end staffing processes, including capacity planning, recruitment, onboarding, and allocation of test experts to projects. Ensures demand-supply balance, manages bench resources, and monitors staffing risks to maintain project delivery and budget compliance.
  • Competency Development and Team Leadership: Responsible for building and maintaining a team of test experts across domains, tools, and technologies. Drives professional development aligned with employee aspirations and organizational needs, conducts regular staff meetings, and ensures timely training and knowledge transfer.
  • Performance Management and Recognition: Sets annual performance goals, tracks progress, evaluates employee performance, and provides feedback. Recognizes and rewards outstanding contributions, ensuring motivation and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Project and Process Management: Participates in project planning, requirement analysis, and estimation for RFI/RFQ activities. Collaborates with project teams to address change requests, monitors project staffing in tools like KANTATA, and ensures resource allocation aligns with project needs and budgets.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Leads root cause analysis for defects and systemic issues, recommends corrective actions, and encourages innovation through new initiatives, tech talks, and process enhancements. Ensures ongoing process improvement and supports problem resolution in projects.

What Makes You A Strong Fit

  • Min 12-15 years of experience of SW/System Test in Automotive Infotainment and Cluster Domain.
  • Must have knowledge of software and Hardware architecture.
  • Over all system Knowledge, Vehicle Interface and Vehicle Drive Testing
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in Engineering,
  • Have Proven Testing Skills
  • Has ability to quickly ramp up on the entire system testing perspective.
  • Good English Skills (writing, documenting, conversation)

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Knowledge on Testing Quality standards (Automotive Spice)
  • ISTQB certification (Basic or Advanced)
  • Exposure to Test Automation with anyone scripting language.

Things To Know

  • Willing to travel up to 10%.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional on-site visits.
  • This role is based in Bengaluru and follows a hybrid schedule, with regular in-office collaboration alongside engineering, product, and customer program teams.
