Staff Nurse (Emergency Department / A&E) #HJO

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with emergency and acute medical conditions.

• Perform patient assessments, triage and prioritisation of care based on clinical urgency.

• Monitor patients' vital signs, clinical conditions and responses to treatment.

• Administer medications, intravenous therapies and other prescribed treatments.

• Assist doctors with emergency procedures, resuscitation and life-saving interventions.

• Perform nursing procedures including wound care, ECG monitoring, blood collection, intravenous cannulation and other clinical interventions.

• Identify and respond promptly to patient deterioration and medical emergencies.

• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and ensure proper clinical handovers.

• Adhere to infection control, medication safety and established nursing protocols.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain emergency equipment readiness.
  

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing.

• Prior nursing experience in an Emergency Department / Accident & Emergency (A&E) setting is preferred.

• Good knowledge of emergency nursing procedures, patient triage and resuscitation protocols.

• Good communication, teamwork and patient care skills.
