Staff Nurse (OT) (Bengaluru) Company: THE EYE FOUNDATION Job Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Employment Type: Full-time Salary: 3,00,000 - 4,56,000 per year Core Responsibilities Prepare the operation theatre, checking environmental controls (temperature and humidity) and equipment functionality (diathermy, lights, suction machines, and tables). Verify patient identity, surgical consent forms, medical history, and surgical site markings. Conduct safety verifications using the surgical safety checklist (Sign-In, Time-Out, Sign-Out). Help transport the patient into the OT and position them safely on the operating table. Act as aCirculating Nurse by managing non-sterile room activities, monitoring patient vitals alongside the anesthetist, tracking fluid output, and recording events. Perform strict, mandatory counts of surgical instruments, sponges, and needles with the scrub team to prevent retained foreign objects. Handle, label, and dispatch tissue specimens to the laboratory as per protocol. Education Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution. Experience Prior clinical experience or specialized training in operating room/preoperative nursing is preferred. Location Bellandur,Nagavara,RIK and Sarjapur.
