About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Staff / Principal .NET Engineer with deep expertise in .NET, AWS, and distributed systems to join one of our long-term projects.
In this role, you will serve as a senior technical leader, driving architecture and engineering decisions while remaining hands-on with development. You will work on designing and delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions, mentor engineers through technical leadership, and help shape the long-term technical direction of the platform.
The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with architectural thinking, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and leads by example through high-quality code and sound technical decisions.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications using C#/.NET technologies.
Drive technical architecture decisions and ensure the implementation of scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based architectures.
Build and maintain high-performance REST APIs.
Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS services, including Lambda and SQS.
Design efficient and scalable relational database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server.
Take ownership of complex technical initiatives from architecture through implementation and delivery.
Analyze business requirements, estimate engineering efforts, and define technical implementation strategies.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a strong focus on Unit Testing and Definition of Done principles.
Conduct code reviews and establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and software quality guidelines.
Mentor and support engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and architectural reviews.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver business value.
Identify technical risks, resolve complex engineering challenges, and continuously improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.
Utilize AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity.
Requirements:
8+ years of commercial software development experience with C#/.NET Core and .NET Framework.
Proven experience as a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Technical Lead, Development Lead, or similar senior technical individual contributor role.
Strong experience designing and building microservices-based architectures.
Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, SQS, and cloud-native application development.
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and relational database design.
Extensive experience designing and developing REST APIs.
Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
Experience driving architectural decisions and leading complex technical initiatives.
Strong experience conducting code reviews and mentoring engineers.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Advanced or higher level of English.
Nice to Have:
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
Experience working with AI-powered development tools.
Experience modernizing legacy systems and migrating applications to cloud-native architectures.
Experience working with event-driven architectures and messaging systems.
