Staff Product Engineer

Lead the architecture and build of AI-native developer tools from 0 to 1, shaping product strategy and guiding engineering standards in a fast-paced startup.
We are looking for a Staff Product Engineer to lead the technical direction of next-generation developer products from concept to launch. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for an experienced engineer who thrives in fast-paced startup environments, enjoys solving ambiguous problems, and has a proven track record of building exceptional products from 0 to 1. You'll work closely with founders and cross-functional teams to define product strategy, shape architecture, and deliver AI-native tools that developers use every day.
Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture, technical strategy, and end-to-end development of new products from ideation through production.
Partner with founders and product stakeholders to translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions and long-term roadmaps.
Build and launch 0-to-1 products while maintaining a strong focus on product quality, usability, and customer experience.
Own production outcomes by ensuring reliability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence.
Mentor senior engineers, raise engineering standards, and influence technical decisions across the organization.
Work effectively in highly ambiguous environments, making pragmatic architectural and product decisions while balancing speed and quality.
7–20 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer, including ownership of 0-to-1 product development from concept to launch.
Proven experience leading the technical direction of successful products in high-growth startups or rapidly scaling engineering organizations.
Strong full-stack engineering expertise with modern technologies, particularly TypeScript and React.
Experience building developer tools, AI-powered products, or software platforms used by engineers, with familiarity using AI coding agents or agentic development workflows.
Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction as a senior individual contributor, with excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience making architectural decisions across the full stack and thriving in fast-moving startup environments with high ownership and accountability.
