Staff Psychologist
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional This full time position consists of a psychologist that participates in a full range of psychotherapeutic, diagnostic and training activities in the Mental Health & Behavioral Science Service at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center - New Albany CBOC. This position is responsible for completing the following duties/responsibilities: Provides psychological treatment and services Knowledge of, and ability to apply, a wide range of professional psychological theories, evidence based therapies and assessment methods to a variety of patient populations Provides a full range of evidence based therapeutic interventions in group and individual formats Develops comprehensive multidisciplinary treatment strategies Develops and documents clear treatment goals that are through, based in recovery and utilize symptom severity and intensity to inform treatment frequency Develops and implements clinical procedures that balance clinical demand and therapeutic resources Provides psychological evaluation and assessment Performs evaluations of Veterans with a variety of psychological, mood and personality disorders' Performs consultation and training Consults with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues May be involved in the training of medical students, medical and psychiatric residents, nursing students, fellows and other graduate or post-graduate trainees, as appropriate Participates in meetings, committees or projects as assigned Attends and participates in organizational meetings, treatment planning meetings and assigned committees or project Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Recruitment/Relocation Incentives (Sign-on Bonus): Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not Authorized EDRP Authorized: Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply for incentive.
