Staff Quality Assurance Engineer

The Quality Assurance Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring that daily quality control & inspection operations are meeting required quality standards and production demand. This role involves monitoring incoming, in‑process and outgoing quality, managing supervisory and inspector teams, supporting audits, driving continuous improvement to enhance operation efficiency, ensures that products meet all quality and quantity requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Department (HOD) in managing daily Quality Assurance operations, ensuring effective execution of departmental objectives, resource allocation, and timely decision-making.
  • Lead and promote a strong quality culture across manufacturing and supporting functions, driving quality awareness throughout the organization.
  • Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional quality improvement activities to ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and customer requirements.
  • Manage customer quality requirements, including customer audits, quality documentation, change management activities, technical discussions, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality management system requirements and industry standards, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Lead the monitoring and improvement of quality performance through data analysis, risk assessment, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive the implementation of lessons learned, best practices, and risk mitigation measures to strengthen quality systems and prevent recurrence of quality issues.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to resolve quality concerns and improve product quality, process capability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support internal, customer, and certification audits, ensuring audit readiness and timely closure of audit findings.
  • Bachelor Degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Experience in quality, process, or manufacturing within the semiconductor industry.
  • Formal quality-related training or certification in:
    • ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
    • Core Tools (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC)
    • Quality tools & statistical analysis
    • Management courses
