Staff Sales Planning Analyst
Description
Come join Intuit as a Staff Sales Planning Analyst on the Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) team. In this role, you will own the planning rhythm that keeps our go-to-market teams ready, productive, and right-sized. You will run the quarterly GTM readiness shot clock and lead productivity and capacity planning across GBSG. You’ll partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, and Operations leaders to turn data into clear plans and decisions.
You will work from one of Intuit’s hubs.
Responsibilities
GTM Readiness Shot Clock
- Run the quarterly GTM readiness shot clock end to end: set the calendar, define readiness criteria, and track milestones across GBSG teams.
- Drive accountability with cross-functional owners, and escalate risks and slippage early with clear recommendations.
- Report readiness status to senior leadership and keep it consistent from quarter to quarter.
Productivity & Capacity Planning
- Build and maintain capacity models for GBSG go-to-market roles, covering headcount, ramp, attrition, and coverage.
- Analyze productivity trends and identify drivers, gaps, and opportunities to improve output per head.
- Run scenario analyses (e.g., headcount shifts, quota or territory changes, ramp assumptions) to support planning and investment decisions.
- Partner with Finance and HR on headcount, budget, and operating plan alignment.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Operating Cadence
- Own the planning calendar, data inputs, and templates, and simplify and automate manual processes where possible.
- Create executive-ready dashboards, summaries, and narratives that explain the “so what.”
- Influence senior stakeholders without direct authority and build consensus across a matrixed organization.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of experience in sales or GTM operations, strategy and planning, business analytics, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
- Proven experience with capacity planning, workforce planning, or productivity analysis for sales or customer-facing teams.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling skills. SQL and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) are strongly preferred.
- Strong program management skills, including running recurring, deadline-driven cross-functional processes.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including presenting to senior leaders.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience in B2B SaaS or small-business-focused go-to-market organizations.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and enterprise planning tools.
- Experience applying AI-assisted analytics or automation to planning workflows.
How You Will Lead
- Own outcomes: Take full accountability for the shot clock and planning deliverables, and drive them to the date.
- Think in systems: Connect readiness, productivity, and capacity into one coherent view of GBSG’s go-to-market health.
- Influence at all levels: Build trust with partners and executives through data-backed, practical recommendations.
- Raise the bar: Improve the planning process and make it more repeatable, scalable, and automated.
