Staff Security Engineer
You will define and deliver multi-year product security initiatives, establish secure-by-default engineering standards, and identify risks across the software development lifecycle. You will shape AI and LLM security architecture, including controls, assessment frameworks, and governance models. You will build scalable automation and reusable security patterns, partner with leadership on technical trade-offs, mentor engineers, and address evolving technical or organizational gaps.
Responsibilities
- Define the multi-year security vision, strategy, and secure design standards.
- Partner with business leadership to make security a core input into engineering strategy.
- Define AI and LLM security controls, patterns, assessment frameworks, and governance models.
- Build scalable security automation and tooling.
- Mentor engineers and shape technical culture.
- Address technical or organizational gaps as the program evolves.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Hands-on security engineering experience across the software development lifecycle, including design, code review, CI/CD, deployment, and production.
- Demonstrated experience defining and delivering multi-year security strategy in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Hands-on AI and LLM security experience.
- Experience building security automation and tooling that scales capabilities and reduces toil.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and software development environments at scale.
- Experience building and scaling reusable security patterns and assets.
- Coding skills in Python, Go, or a similar modern programming language.
- Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, and SOC 2.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers and shaping technical culture.
