Job Summary

Design and develop optical systems for semiconductor packaging and test equipment, collaborating across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions from prototype to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop optical systems for semiconductor packaging and test equipment to meet performance and integration requirements
• Select and specify optical components including lenses, cameras, light sources, filters, and beam splitters for system optimization
• Perform optical alignment, assembly, testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure system functionality and quality
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to integrate optical systems into complete equipment solutions
• Support prototype development, equipment qualification, and production troubleshooting to maintain product reliability
• Lead optical system development and make technical decisions to drive project success based on experience

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Semiconductor equipment experience to enhance system design and integration effectiveness
• Proficiency in Chinese communication to facilitate collaboration with diverse teams and partners
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optics, Optical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or related field
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in optical system design and integration
• Hands-on experience in optical path design, component selection, alignment, and testing
• Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems
• Good English communication skills
