Staff Silicon Photonics and III-V Test Engineer

You will develop automated test routines and infrastructure for silicon photonics, lasers, and optoelectronic products. You will design test hardware and software controls, analyze measurement data, establish calibration procedures, and provide recommendations based on characterization results.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated routines for silicon photonics and III-V component testing
• Design and validate test hardware including fixtures, probe cards, and PCBs
• Design software controls, search algorithms, and machine-vision alignment tools
• Analyze measurement data and drive yield improvements
• Establish test specifications and Gauge R&R studies
• Create calibration and qualification procedures
• Set testing best practices and documentation standards
• Provide recommendations based on test and characterization results

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of photonics, laser, semiconductor, or optoelectronic testing experience
• Knowledge of optical, electrical, and optoelectrical measurement techniques and instrumentation
• Python or similar object-oriented programming proficiency
• Experience with optical sensing technologies, lidar, or silicon photonics
• Experience with automated optical alignment systems
• Experimental design and statistical analysis experience
• Experience architecting automated test systems
• Experience with high-speed optical and electrical measurements, calibration, and de-embedding
