Staff Software Engineer – AI Workflow & Agentic Platforms - 1620

Summary

Build and maintain AI agent workflows and middleware using LangGraph/LangChain, converting prototypes into production microservices on AWS with Kubernetes and Kafka.

City: Glendale, CA
Onsite/ Hybrid/ Remote: Hybrid (4 days onsite per week, no flexibility)
Duration: 12 Months
Rate Range: Upto $100/hr on W2
Work Authorization: GC, USC, All valid EADs except OPT, CPT, H1B

Must Have:

  • 8+ years backend or systems engineering
  • Java, Python, or Node.js
  • AI-powered or workflow-centric platform experience
  • LangGraph, LangChain, or similar agentic framework
  • MCP or AI middleware experience
  • AWS cloud experience
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • Terraform, CDK, or similar IaC
  • Kafka, EventBridge, SNS/SQS
  • API design, observability, testing, and CI/CD

Responsibilities:

  • Build API gateways, wrappers, and middleware for AI agents.
  • Create secure access patterns for tools, metadata, and content systems.
  • Build agentic workflows for mastering, localization, and delivery.
  • Implement tracing, audit logging, governance, approvals, and fallback paths.
  • Convert AI prototypes into production microservices.
  • Build event-driven services and reliable APIs.
  • Lead design reviews and mentor engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years of backend or systems engineering experience.
  • 3+ years building AI-powered or workflow-centric platforms.
  • Strong production experience with cloud, containers, and IaC.
  • Experience leading technical delivery across engineering, ML, and product teams.

Nice to Have:

  • OpenAI or Anthropic API experience
  • Media supply chain, localization, or post-production workflows
  • Multi-tenant platform services
  • GenAI infrastructure tooling
  • Agile and DevOps automation at scale
