We are seeking a highly experienced frontend engineer to shape the technical direction of large-scale customer-facing applications across web and mobile platforms.
This role focuses on building intuitive, reliable, and scalable product experiences using modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript.
You will drive architectural decisions, lead complex engineering initiatives, and collaborate with product, design, analytics, and engineering teams.
The position offers the opportunity to influence frontend strategy, modernize existing systems, and deliver impactful features used by millions of customers.
You will act as a technical multiplier by mentoring engineers, establishing best practices, and improving engineering processes across teams.

Accountabilities:

The Staff Software Engineer will lead frontend engineering strategy and execution for critical customer experiences, ensuring scalable architecture, high-quality delivery, and strong collaboration across product teams.

  • Define and drive frontend technical strategy across web and application experiences with a focus on long-term scalability and sustainability.
  • Design, develop, and deliver major product features and complex system components using modern frontend technologies.
  • Build and maintain high-quality frontend applications with React, TypeScript, and declarative UI frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, analysts, and engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Lead architectural discussions, technical planning, and implementation strategies for high-impact initiatives.
  • Modernize frontend systems, improve application architecture, and support code migration efforts.
  • Develop efficient engineering solutions using reusable components, automation tools, codemods, and AI-assisted development practices.
  • Establish and promote coding standards, design principles, testing practices, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure application reliability through monitoring, alerting, testing strategies, incident response processes, and operational ownership.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Influence engineering practices beyond the immediate team through technical writing, presentations, and collaboration.
  • Identify technical risks, evaluate trade-offs, and help teams make informed decisions.
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate is an experienced frontend engineering leader with a strong background in building scalable web applications, driving technical initiatives, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

    • 8+ years of experience developing and architecting web applications using frameworks such as React, Vue, or similar declarative UI technologies.
    • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
    • Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale frontend systems and customer-facing applications.
    • Experience leading cross-team initiatives and influencing technical direction across engineering organizations.
    • Demonstrated ability to own major features, system components, migrations, or platform improvements from planning through execution.
    • Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimization, scalability, and maintainability.
    • Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex technical challenges across different levels of abstraction.
    • Experience establishing engineering standards, improving development processes, and mentoring other engineers.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with global technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong product mindset with the ability to balance technical excellence with customer and business impact.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
