Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure, Cloud Marketplace
Summary
Designs and builds scalable backend infrastructure for Google Cloud Marketplace, enabling enterprise customers to discover and deploy AI/SaaS products while leading technical direction for high-volume systems.
Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
Google Cloud Marketplace is the premier destination for Enterprise customers to discover, buy, and use Cloud products, including AI models and SaaS solutions.
As AI and agentic offerings face unprecedented demand, our team builds the robust backend infrastructure that empowers partners to publish their products seamlessly. The rapid growth of Marketplace transactions brings immense scaling challenges and exciting engineering opportunities.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will bring technical clarity to complex, multi-year stacks. Working autonomously, you will design zero-to-one capabilities and re-architect existing high-volume systems to support agentic workflows. By partnering directly with Product and Engineering leadership, you will translate broad business goals into scalable, reliable backend infrastructure that delivers measurable impact.
