Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, and scale complex Python-based backend systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Optimise applications for speed, scalability, resource utilisation, and high concurrency.
• Build systems capable of handling large data volumes and compute-intensive workloads.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate business requirements into scalable architectures.
• Work with databases and storage technologies such as Redis, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse.
• Drive coding standards, code quality, testing, and deployment best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of backend development experience, primarily using Python/Java/Golang in production environments.
• Strong experience in scaling high-performance, compute-intensive, and I/O-intensive applications.
• Excellent knowledge of data structures, algorithms, system design, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience handling high concurrency and optimising large-scale systems.
• Familiarity with Redis, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse.
• Experience in fintech or financial services is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and production deployment practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
