Staff Software Engineer (Python)

We are looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer (Python) to join a team developing technically demanding solutions for a Silicon Valley-based technology company in the security space.

This is a hands-on technical role with a strong focus on system design, architecture and solving complex engineering problems. You will have a significant impact on technical direction and engineering practices while working closely with experienced engineers and helping shape the growing team.

• Extensive commercial experience in software development with Python.
• Strong track record of building complex, reliable and scalable systems.
• Solid understanding of system design, architecture and software engineering principles.
• Proven ability to make and communicate technical and architectural decisions.
• Experience working with complex, established codebases.
• Ability to take ownership of technically challenging initiatives and drive them to completion.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound engineering judgment.
• Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring to other engineers.
• Ability to work effectively with experienced engineers and technical stakeholders.
• High level of autonomy and a pragmatic approach to engineering decisions.
