Staff Software Engineer

You will architect and develop features and products in the Elixir codebase powering web applications and APIs. You will scope projects with cross-functional partners, solve ambiguous technical and business problems, deliver well-tested code, participate in code reviews, mentor colleagues, and remove technical roadblocks.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop new features and products in the Elixir codebase for web applications and APIs
• Plan and scope projects and initiatives with cross-functional teams
• Present engineering solutions to senior leadership
• Solve ambiguous technical and business problems with scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Ship high-quality, well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews
• Mentor team members and foster engineering excellence
• Identify and eliminate technical roadblocks

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining production services at scale
• Knowledge of reliable systems development
• Experience solving ambiguous problems
• Understanding of web and database fundamentals
• Mentoring experience
• Written and spoken communication skills
