Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design and build MAC firmware for multi-band / multi-link wireless systems

  • Define and implement link-layer protocol behavior — transport, retransmission, host interfaces

  • Integrate MAC–PHY control — sequencing, timing, per-packet behavior

  • Write real-time, RTOS-based firmware on embedded processors (ARM/RISC-V/ARC etc.)

  • Work with DMA, interrupts, timers, and the usual embedded plumbing that makes wireless actually run

Required Experience and Skills

8+ years in embedded firmware, with solid wireless / connectivity experience

Hands-on wireless PHY-MAC / link-layer work — that's the heart of this role

Strong embedded C and real RTOS experience (FreeRTOS or similar). This one matters

Comfortable in a typical embedded environment: interrupts, DMA, timers, UART / SPI / I2C bring-up and debug

Practical grasp of wireless timing, scheduling, retransmission, multi-client systems

Experience debugging across firmware, hardware, and RF

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or other wireless stacks

  • Multi-band / multi-link systems

  • Multi-core / SMP RTOS firmware

  • Descriptor-based DMA, scatter-gather, or other high-throughput embedded data paths

  • RISC-V or other non-ARM embedded cores (our SoCs are heterogeneous — you won't live on just one ISA)

  • I2S or other audio-facing interfaces (helpful if you touch media transport paths)
