About the Role

Our client needs a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our fast-paced startup building the world’s first modular accelerator. The Senior Software Engineer will take the technical lead in developing industrial software solution using modern technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build web applications with React and Node.js
• Create dashboards and interfaces for industrial systems
• Develop APIs and real-time applications
• Apply cybersecurity best practices
• Work with industrial automation systems
• Maintain code quality
• Deploy full-stack web applications
• Integrate software with industrial systems
• Build a portfolio of technical projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Masters in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related major

• Reliably commute to the headquarters in Hebron, Kentucky

Core Technical Competencies

• JavaScript & TypeScript - Modern JavaScript and TypeScript for development
• Node.js - Server-side applications, REST APIs, system communication, WebSocket implementations, and real-time systems
• React - Frontend development, UI design, dashboards, human-machine interfaces, and modern React patterns (Hooks, Context API etc.)
• Industrial Cybersecurity - Network security fundamentals and operational technology security for industrial environments
• Git - Version control workflows and collaboration platforms (GitHub, GitLab)
• Development Tools - CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code linting, and build tools (Webpack, Vite or similar)

Preferred Skills

• Industrial Automation - PLC systems, HMIs, Mechatronics, SCADA systems and protocols (ADS, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP or similar)
• Python/C++ - Scripting for automation tasks, data processing, and backend tooling
• Time-Series Databases - InfluxDB or similar for sensor data and metrics handling
• Computer Vision - Open-source models, CUDA, camera integration, xhmxlyz object/pose detection, and image processing
• Docker - Containerization and deployment environments
• Linux - Command line operations and system administration
• Real-Time Systems - Real-time data processing and low-latency applications
• Network Protocols - Industrial networking standards and communication protocols

Pay range and compensation package

$150-200k base salary
