Staff Supported Program Facilitator

Accountable To: Program Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Facilitator’s primary objective is to facilitate Girl Scout programming in school and community settings
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work as a team to facilitate programming for youth, ages 5 to 17 creating a fun and safe environment for all
- Facilitate Girl Scout curriculum to help girls develop a strong sense of self, positive values, seek challenges, build healthy relationships, and become community problem solvers
- Communicate professionally and responsively to caregivers and school / partner agency staff
- Provide positive reinforcements and positive redirection to youth in program settings
- Promote the three processes of Girl Scouts: 1) Girl Led 2) Learn by Doing 3) Cooperative Learning
- Encourage girl decision making and leadership through positive activities. Provide daily reports of program activities
- Conduct program evaluations as directed
- Provide a programmatic experience inclusive to all Girl Scouts by delivering the Girl Scout message of pluralism and diversity
- Foster a supportive and encouraging environment by consistently offering constructive and uplifting feedback
- Manage and respond to challenging behavior with patience and flexibility, employing strategies that promote understanding, positive development, and a respectful atmosphere
- Responsible for learning and staying abreast of current information regarding Girl Scouts, GSSOAZ and our products and offerings
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Demonstrate and promote a climate of courtesy and professionalism to coworkers, the volunteers served by the Council, and others with whom their job puts them in contact
- Promote and assist with Council wide programs, activities, and fund development endeavors
- Enter data into Council CRM tool and adhere to Council procedures and policies regarding documenting membership interactions, maintaining confidentiality and completing tasks
- Attend trainings and meetings as required, some of which may be off-site
- Perform job duties in accordance with the Safety and Risk Management Plan
