Staff Test Automation Engineer

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Test Automation Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our test automation strategy across products and platforms. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with architectural leadership to improve software quality, accelerate delivery, and drive engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the organization's test automation roadmap.
- Design scalable, maintainable, and reusable automation frameworks.
- Establish automation standards, best practices, and governance.
- Drive shift-left testing practices and quality engineering initiatives.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor engineers and conduct code and framework reviews.
- Define strategies for performance, load, scalability, and reliability testing.
- Track automation coverage, defect escape rate, test stability, and release readiness.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software testing and quality engineering experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on test automation development experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites using modern automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Postman/Newman, REST Assured, and API testing frameworks, with demonstrated expertise in designing scalable and maintainable test automation solutions.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with CI/CD practices and Agile development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with performance testing tools.
- Experience in SaaS, cloud-native, or distributed systems environments.
- Experience with accessibility and security testing.
