Internship Details

Internship dates: January 5th to April 23rd, 2027

Location: The position is based at our Longueuil location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

As our Business Intelligence and Governance Analyst intern, you will sit at the strategic heart of our organization. You will help define and transform how our company handles its most critical financial data, moving us away from manual spreadsheets and into a secure, automated future. This is a high-visibility role where your frameworks directly protect our assets and empower our executive leadership to make confident decisions.

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Framework Design: Support implementation of rules regarding how BI data is collected, stored, and shared.
  • Access Control: Participate in developing the data security permissions framework to ensure only authorized personnel view sensitive corporate metrics.
  • Metadata Management: Participate in the maintenance of active data dictionaries, glossaries, and lineage maps for universal understanding.
  • Compliance Oversight: Evaluate platform usage Vs global privacy regulations.

As a Governance Specialist, you bridge the gap between IT and business users. You support policies, ownership, and rules to keep analytics accurate, secure, and compliant. Your daily routine balances technical oversight, cross-department collaboration, and framework management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • Technical Skills: Deep expertise in BI platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Soft Skills: Proven ability to manage organizational change and translate complex technical rules for business teams.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
