Position Summary
The Stainless-Steel Manufacturing Supervisor is a frontline leadership role responsible for overseeing daily stainless-steel fabrication operations. This position is accountable for safety, quality, productivity, labor utilization, and on-time delivery while leading hourly production teams and executing production plans.
The supervisor leads from the floor, enforces standards, develops associates, and drives continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own daily production schedules, job priorities, and labor assignments to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Monitor production performance, KPIs, and labor efficiency; take corrective action when targets are missed.
- Ensure safe operation of equipment and strict compliance with safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Oversee product quality and address issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Supervise, train, coach, and hold production associates accountable for performance, attendance, and conduct.
- Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, performance management, and associate relations matters.
- Coordinate material availability, inventory accuracy, and production reporting using ERP/MRP systems.
- Identify and implement process, equipment, and layout improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Shipping to align production priorities.
