Role overview

This role focuses on stakeholder and interface management to support successful project delivery. It involves maintaining a comprehensive stakeholder register, acting as the primary point of contact with external parties, and managing relationships to understand and address their needs and concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop interface management plans, coordinate approvals and permits, and handle communications with clients and authorities.
  • Track risks and issue resolution, prepare regular reports, and ensure effective information flow among all parties.
  • Support procurement activities and foster collaboration across teams while maintaining compliance with organizational quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Map and maintain stakeholders register including any contact persons, terms of reference, memorandums of understanding, agreements, and the like.
  • Serve as the primary contact with all external parties; meet, discuss, and understand their needs and issues, and manage their expectations.
  • Establish and monitor interface protocols between stakeholders and third parties to contribute to optimal development and program setup for successful project delivery.
  • Engage with key third-party stakeholders affected by project works to understand their needs and concerns, maintain effective relationships throughout the project, and report accordingly.
  • Develop an Interface Management Plan specifying methods and processes to be adopted in identification, development, and agreement with third parties.
  • Manage interfaces ensuring approvals and permits are sought and obtained for all aspects of the project; track authority approvals, monitor, escalate, expedite issues, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
  • Handle communication with clients and key stakeholders on all authority issues.
  • Produce and maintain appropriate, standardized documents and regular reports to senior management and other stakeholders reflecting key issues, risks, resolutions, and performance.
  • Issue monthly stakeholder reports.
  • Support procurement and contracts department.
  • Ensure a collaborative approach is maintained across the team to facilitate planning and delivery of interface works, ensuring all issues are clearly understood and addressed with appropriate interventions developed and implemented.
  • Manage and coordinate dissemination of information to all relevant parties in a timely manner.
  • Comply with relevant quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies, manuals, and procedures within the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor or Master of Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in strategic planning or project management.
  • Experience in major real-estate development.
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater master planning.
  • Experience in stakeholder management.
  • Development of agreements and memorandums of understanding with other strategic partners.
  • Presentable with strong communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
