About Emergence Capital

Emergence Capital is a leading venture capital firm focused exclusively on enterprise technology. We partner with visionary founders building the next generation of business software – from Seed through growth stages. Our portfolio includes category-defining companies like Together AI, Zoom, Bland, and many of today's most innovative startups.

We invest in companies transforming how businesses operate through cloud infrastructure, vertical SaaS, and applied AI. Our portfolio companies are tackling complex problems in financial services, healthcare, legal, logistics, and beyond – building products that drive measurable impact for their customers.

The roles below represent opportunities across our portfolio. Each company is at a different stage, but all share a commitment to building exceptional products, serving customers deeply, and creating enduring businesses. If you're looking to join a high-growth startup backed by a firm with deep expertise in enterprise software, we'd love to hear from you.

Location: Most roles are based in San Francisco or New York, with some flexibility for remote depending on the company and role.

Don't see your role posted?

We're always looking for exceptional people. If you don't see a role that fits but believe you'd thrive at a high-growth AI or early-stage b2b/enterprise software company, we want to hear from you.

Our portfolio companies are building products that transform industries – from AI-powered legal research to autonomous insurance operations to next-generation developer tools. We look for people who are builders at heart: those who take ownership, move fast, and care deeply about craft.

This is not a general application that goes into a black hole. Our talent team actively reviews submissions and matches exceptional candidates with opportunities across the portfolio as they emerge. Many of our best placements have come from people who reached out before a role was posted.

What You'll Do

  • Ship products that matter to real customers and see the impact of your work directly

  • Operate with high autonomy in environments where your contributions shape company trajectory

  • Learn from founders and operators who have built and scaled successful companies

  • Join companies at inflection points, early enough to have ownership, funded enough to have runway

Qualifications

  • You've built something meaningful; a company, a product, a team, or a function

  • You thrive in ambiguity and move fast without sacrificing quality

  • You're looking for a role at an early-stage company (Seed to Series B) where you can have outsized impact

  • You want to be part of building something from the ground up, not optimizing an existing machine

Nice to Have

  • Previous startup experience, especially in a founding or early employee role

  • Domain expertise in financial services, healthcare, legal, or other enterprise verticals
