Steel Foreman
Summary
Oversees stainless steel fabrication, bending machine operations, and team management to produce fit-out components meeting client specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate stainless steel fabrication activities, with a focus on bending machine operations.
- Manage a team of labourers, ensuring adherence to productivity, safety, and quality standards.
- Operate and oversee CNC machines, bending machines, shearing machines, and other related fabrication equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans to provide clear guidance to the team.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet client specifications and industry standards.
- Train and mentor junior staff in stainless steel handling, fabrication techniques, and machine operations.
- Enforce strict compliance with workplace safety protocols to maintain a secure and efficient working environment.
Requirements
- Experience: 5–6 years of proven experience in stainless steel fabrication, bending machine operations, and fit-out projects.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in operating CNC machines, bending machines, shearing machines, and related fabrication equipment.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication details, and fit-out specifications.
- Material Knowledge: Strong understanding of stainless steel properties, bending tolerances, finishing techniques, and fit-out applications.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee fabrication work in fit-out projects.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Additional Advantage: Experience in structural steel fabrication and high-end interior fit-outs is a plus.
