Job Summary
Overseeing the Hull & Outfitting Section to deliver engineering solutions for tertiary steel structures and outfitting installations, ensuring compliance with schedules, budgets, and quality standards in the marine/offshore industry.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Hull & Outfitting Section to ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, work plans, and performance standards
- Design and detail tertiary steel structures including accessways, platforms, material and equipment handling structures, yard lifting supports, and prepare steel nesting and cutting plans
- Prepare bills of material and review material selection to support project requirements
- Coordinate contract specification requirements and integrate production inputs into engineering drawings and documentation
- Manage progress reporting and schedule engineering deliverables to meet project timelines
- Conduct site visits to diagnose and resolve engineering issues by verifying existing conditions or new construction
- Collaborate with production teams, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues impacting hull and outfitting schedules and deliverables
- Liaise with QA/QC, owners, statutory, and classification authorities to inspect and approve completed outfitting installations, including piping systems, HVAC, electrical cabling, and equipment foundations
- Engage with vendors, client representatives, and accreditation bodies as needed to support project execution
- Review and respond to classification society comments to ensure compliance
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and company QSHE policies, practices, and procedures at all times
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor to support project and operational goals
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the marine/offshore industry with a Diploma in naval architecture, structural, marine, or related engineering discipline, or minimum 6 years of relevant marine/offshore industry experience
- Prior experience in newbuild and conversion of Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels
- Familiarity with Marine & Offshore rules, regulations, and requirements

- Knowledge of Intergraph Software
