Steel Polisher
Summary
Operates and maintains stainless steel polishing machinery, performs shop tasks, and handles packaging of finished products in a metals manufacturing environment.
Job Description
The Polisher operates machinery typical to the stainless polishing industry including, but not limited to drum-sanding, lathe-turn polishing, and power hand tool operation. Other tasks performed include general shop tasks such as maintaining shop cleanliness, general preventative maintenance and upkeep of machinery, and staging finished products by packaging, palletizing, banding/strapping, and wrapping.
Qualifications:
- Proven warehouse experience, metals manufacturing preferred
- Previous stainless fabrication and ability to read simple fabrication drawings a plus
- Mechanically inclined
- Basic math skills
- Working knowledge of general computer programs
