Sterile Process Technician (Entry Level)

Under direct supervision, responsible for sterilizing and decontaminating surgical instruments and equipment for use in the treatment rooms and throughout facilities and clinics.
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm with flexibility
- Sterilizes and performs routine care to clinical instruments, supplies and equipment.
- Assembles instrument carts.
- Tracks and maintains the total inventory of instruments, disposables, and implants.
- Performs preventive maintenance on clinic handpieces and other clinic equipment.
- Ensures proper utilization and compliance with clinic and equipment loan policies; follows up on loaned equipment.
- Dispenses equipment to students, faculty and all specialty departments.
- Makes recommendations to manager regarding tray setups, handpieces and equipment.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Possess basic computer knowledge and skills (Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
- Effectively communicates, both verbally and in writing; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to multi task without losing efficiency and quality of work.
- Ability to think critically in situations where speed and sustained attention are important.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
