Sterilization Technician

The Sterilization Technician is a key part of the ultimate patient experience. The Sterilization Technician is responsible for sterilizing all clinical equipment throughout the workday and maintaining a clean and orderly workflow.

Responsibilities

1. Be responsible for appearance of clinic area and sterilization of all instruments.
2. Bag instruments and prepare tray set ups for clinic use.
3. Assist chairside Dental Assistants when needed, taking records, scan & photographs
4. Pour up, trim and mount models.
5. Make C+ retainers.
6. Completing lab slips and send out appliances and impressions to lab.
7. Help stock paper towels, etc. in clinic area.
8. Change ultra sonic solution at least once a week in the clinic. Change cold sterilization whenever test strip indicates (approximately once a month)
9. Sterilize impression trays
10. Make sure sterilizer and water are turned off at the end of the day.
11. Keep hygiene area and bathrooms cleaned and stocked at all times.
12. Take out garbage
13. Keep lab area organize, clean and tidy by the end of the day.
14. Be an active participant in staff meetings.
15. Handle repairs and adjustment as needed for the clinic
16. Clean plaster trap under the sink once a month.
17. Keep records of weekly number of appliances fabricated for deliveries
18. Give supply orders as needed to Chairside in charge of ordering.
19. Be certain that appliances are prepared once day in advance of when it is needed for patient’s appointment.
20. Perform other task as assigned by Doctor and Practice Manager.

This is a part-time position working 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) with a starting hourly rate of $23 per hour
