Sterilization Technician
The Sterilization Technician is a key part of the ultimate patient experience. The Sterilization Technician is responsible for sterilizing all clinical equipment throughout the workday and maintaining a clean and orderly workflow.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for appearance of clinic area and sterilization of all instruments.
- Bag instruments and prepare tray set ups for clinic use.
- Assist chairside Dental Assistants when needed, taking records, scan & photographs
- Pour up, trim and mount models.
- Make C+ retainers.
- Completing lab slips and send out appliances and impressions to lab.
- Help stock paper towels, etc. in clinic area.
- Change ultra sonic solution at least once a week in the clinic. Change cold sterilization whenever test strip indicates (approximately once a month)
- Sterilize impression trays
- Make sure sterilizer and water are turned off at the end of the day.
- Keep hygiene area and bathrooms cleaned and stocked at all times.
- Take out garbage
- Keep lab area organize, clean and tidy by the end of the day.
- Be an active participant in staff meetings.
- Handle repairs and adjustment as needed for the clinic
- Clean plaster trap under the sink once a month.
- Keep records of weekly number of appliances fabricated for deliveries
- Give supply orders as needed to Chairside in charge of ordering.
- Be certain that appliances are prepared once day in advance of when it is needed for patient’s appointment.
- Perform other task as assigned by Doctor and Practice Manager.

This is a part-time position working 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) with a starting hourly rate of $23 per hour
