Stevedore Superintendent

Position Overview:
A growing Philadelphia area stevedore and terminal operating company is seeking highly motivated individuals for full-time Superintendent positions. Successful candidates must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, drug-free environment. In this role, candidates will direct, supervise, and assign work to ILA Longshoremen, monitor loading and unloading sequences to meet all safety and productivity standards, oversee employee attendance, and resolve personnel issues.

Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to supervise and direct groups of individuals
Ability to assume a leadership role and actively participate in the company safety program
Ability to coordinate with internal departments, customers and their agents, and vendors
Proficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn in-house systems
Vessel experience and/or marine terminal operations experience preferred
Ability to work night and weekend shifts as required
Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC Card

Qualifications: Prior stevedoring and/or supervisory experience is a plus. Familiarity with marine terminal operations and vessel experience is preferred but not required — on-the-job training will be provided.
