Steward
**Responsibilities:**
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, equipment, and floors, in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware
- Manage kitchen waste disposal and recycling procedures in compliance with facility standards
- Perform routine maintenance checks on kitchen equipment and report any issues to management
- Assist with food preparation areas and ensure proper organization of kitchen supplies and inventory
- Support kitchen staff by maintaining an organized and efficient work environment
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Respond promptly to requests from kitchen and dining service staff
- Maintain personal hygiene and wear appropriate protective equipment at all times
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support operational excellence
**Qualifications:**
- Experience in kitchen sanitation, dishwashing, or food service support
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols and health code regulations
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Adhere to all facility safety standards and procedures
- Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and machinery
- Previous experience in a high-volume food service operation
