Stewarding Manager - The Hoxton Bengaluru City
What you’ll do…
- Lead the day-to-day stewarding operation, ensuring all kitchens, restaurants, bars and back-of-house areas are clean, organised and fully supported.
- Manage, coach and develop the Stewarding team, creating an environment where people feel supported, empowered and motivated to do their best work.
- Ensure all crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen utensils and equipment are cleaned, stored and available to support smooth service across all outlets.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene in accordance with HACCP, local legislation and company standards.
- Oversee waste management, recycling initiatives and chemical handling, ensuring environmentally responsible practices are followed.
- Manage stewarding schedules, labour productivity and departmental costs in line with operational requirements and budget.
- Monitor inventory of operating equipment, chemicals and cleaning supplies, ensuring timely ordering and stock control.
- Carry out regular inspections of kitchens, pot wash areas, stores and back-of-house facilities, taking immediate action where standards fall short.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef, Food & Beverage and Engineering teams to ensure equipment is well maintained and operations run efficiently.
- Support banquet and event operations by ensuring all equipment is prepared, delivered and collected efficiently.
- Champion a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement throughout the department.

- Previous experience as a Stewarding Manager or Assistant Stewarding Manager within a quality hotel or lifestyle hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of stewarding operations, kitchen equipment, hygiene standards, HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Experience managing operating equipment, inventory, chemical control and stewarding budgets.
- A natural leader with excellent communication skills who enjoys coaching and developing teams.
- Highly organised, hands-on and able to remain calm in a fast-paced operational environment.
