Metroll Lismore is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Stock Control & Inventory Coordinator to join our operations team.

Metroll is a leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of roofing, cladding, rainwater, and steel building products. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production, and ensuring our customers receive the right products on time.

About the Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for managing inventory accuracy across the site, coordinating stocktakes, investigating discrepancies, and supporting the smooth flow of materials throughout the business.

Working closely with production, purchasing, warehouse, and dispatch teams, you'll ensure inventory records remain accurate and reliable while identifying opportunities to improve stock control processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records
  • Plan and coordinate scheduled and cyclical stocktakes
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Reconcile inventory movements within the ERP system
  • Monitor stock levels and work with purchasing to maintain appropriate inventory
  • Ensure raw materials and finished goods are accurately receipted and recorded
  • Support production and warehouse teams with inventory enquiries
  • Analyse inventory data and prepare stock control reports
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and warehouse processes
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and inventory control standards
  • Assist with month-end and year-end stock reconciliations
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient warehouse environment

About You

You're highly organised, analytical, and enjoy working with data while staying connected to day-to-day operations.

You'll bring:

  • Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, warehouse administration, or a similar role
  • Experience coordinating stocktakes and inventory reconciliations
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy
  • Experience using ERP or inventory management systems
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments
  • A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Experience within manufacturing, steel, building products, or industrial environments will be highly regarded
