Job Purpose
- To assist in conducting retail stock counts and basic inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy and compliance with company procedures. The role supports the audit team in identifying stock differences and helping improve inventory control at retail stores.
Job Description
Retail Stock Count Support
- Count merchandise accurately based on stock count instructions and audit guidelines.
- Help ensure stock counts are completed properly
Stock Reconciliation & Checking
- Assist in comparing physical stock counts with system records.
- Help identify stock shortages, overages, or discrepancies.
Risk Analysis for Audit
- Perform continuous analytical reviews to support risk-based audit planning, execution, and monitoring.
Compliance & Control Checks
- Follow company policies and procedures during stock count activities, in Warehouse when required.
- Observe store practices related to receiving, transfers, returns, and stock adjustments.
Reporting & Documentation
- Record stock count results clearly and accurately.
- Assist in preparing simple stock count summaries and supporting documents.
- Maintain proper filing of audit working papers and evidence.
Teamwork & Learning
- Learn and apply basic inventory control and audit concepts.
- Assist in other audit or inventory-related tasks when required.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Retail Management, or related fields.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in retail, store operations, or stock handling is an advantage but not required.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of retail operations and stock handling.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Basic computer skills (e.g. MS Office 365).
- With Power Platform, SQL or Inventory system is an advantage but not required.
