Storage & Data Protection Solutions Engineer
Qatar Computer Services (QCS) is looking for an experienced Storage & Data Protection Solutions Engineer to design, implement, migrate, troubleshoot, and support enterprise storage and backup solutions. The role involves working with multi-vendor storage platforms, backup technologies, virtualization, and datacenter infrastructure while supporting both project delivery and presales activities.
Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and support enterprise storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions. Configure and troubleshoot SAN, NAS, block, file, and object storage environments. Provide Level 2/3 technical support, root cause analysis, and vendor coordination. Support virtualization, server infrastructure, and hybrid datacenter environments. Prepare technical documentation and solution handovers. Assist presales teams with technical solution design and customer engagements. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in enterprise storage and data protection technologies. Strong expertise in SAN, NAS, FC, i SCSI, NFS, SMB, storage replication, snapshots, RAID, capacity planning, and performance optimization. Hands-on experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Veritas Net Backup, Commvault, Cohesity, Veeam, or similar. Knowledge of virtualization, HCI, Windows Server, and cloud platforms is an advantage. Professional certifications in enterprise storage, backup, virtualization, or cloud technologies are preferred.
