Job purpose

To perform storekeeping activities for materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring proper receipt, storage, issuance, and record-keeping in compliance with company procedures. The role supports operational requirements by maintaining accurate inventory and facilitating smooth material flow within the store.

Key accountability areas

Material receiving
  • Receive delivered materials, verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues to the supervisor.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all received items.
  • Storage and inventory management
  • Store materials in designated locations, following storage guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate stock records in ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Assist in conducting periodic physical stock counts and reconciling differences.
  • Material issuance
  • Issue materials based on approved requests or job orders.
  • Record material issuance in the system promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure proper handling and packaging of items for issuance or transfer.
  • Housekeeping and safety
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas.
  • Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and damage to materials.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or practices to the supervisor.
  • Documentation and reporting
  • Maintain up-to-date records of material transactions.
  • Prepare daily or periodic reports on stock movement and availability.
  • Support audit processes by providing required records and documentation.
  • Coordination and support
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and maintenance teams for timely supply of materials.
  • Support loading and unloading activities as required.

    Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.

    Delivery:
  • Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
  • Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
  • Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
  • Problem-solving:

    Solve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

    Quality:

    Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

    Business process improvements:

    Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.

    Compliance:

    Comply with related policy and procedures and work instructions.

    Health, safety, and environment:

    Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products or services.

    Academic qualification

    Diploma degree in Business Administration or any relevant field.

    Work experience

    Fresher - 0-2 years.
