Store Event Manager
About the Role
This is an events-led role. You own our events business end to end — from client development and proposal design through to quotation, on-site delivery and post-event review. On non-event days, you're on the floor as our host, welcoming guests.
It suits someone who can sit down and work out the cost and margin of an event, and also stand in front of a hundred-plus people and keep the room going.
Events (Core Responsibilities)
- Develop and maintain corporate, school and group clients; follow up on enquiries and close deals
- Design event formats and packages; set pricing and contract terms, with accountability for event margin
- Own the full event workflow: run-of-show, staffing roster, catering, AV, props and venue setup
- Manage external vendors (catering, equipment, performers, photography) — selection, negotiation and delivery
- Act as on-site lead and host on event day, directing the internal crew and managing timing, guest flow and problems as they arise
- Lead the post-event wrap: client feedback, cost reconciliation, invoicing support, and photo and video assets for marketing
- Build and maintain the client pipeline and event SOPs; drive repeat business and referrals
Venue Hosting (Non-Event Days)
- Welcome walk-in and pre-booked guests; brief them on our games, rules and safety
- Handle bookings and enquiries by phone, WhatsApp, email and social media
Requirements
- Experience in event planning, banquet sales, wedding planning or a related field (team management experience an advantage)
- Confident hosting and speaking in front of groups of 10 to 150 people
- Able to communicate in English and Mandarin, in order to serve our Mandarin-speaking guests and corporate clients
- Commercially minded — able to budget and settle an event independently
- Available on weekends, public holidays and evenings
- Organised, and able to run several events in parallel
