Job Description: Storekeeper / Stock Receiver

Job Title: Storekeeper / Stock Receiver
Department: Operations / F&B Storage
Reports To: Operations Manager / Procurement Manager

Job Summary

The Storekeeper / Stock Receiver is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing goods required for daily operations. The role ensures inventory accuracy, proper stock rotation, and compliance with food safety and company standards. The successful candidate will maintain an organised store, coordinate with suppliers and internal departments, and support smooth kitchen and catering operations.

Key Responsibilities

Goods Receiving

  • Receive all incoming deliveries from suppliers and verify quantities, specifications, and quality against Purchase Orders (POs) and Delivery Orders (DOs).

  • Inspect products for damage, expiry dates, and overall quality before acceptance.

  • Reject or report damaged, incorrect, or substandard items to the Procurement team immediately.

  • Ensure all received goods meet food safety and halal compliance requirements.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the inventory management system.

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and reconciliation.

  • Monitor stock levels and inform Procurement of low-stock or replenishment requirements.

  • Maintain proper documentation for stock movements, transfers, and adjustments.

Storage & Stock Control

  • Store products according to food safety requirements, including chilled, frozen, and dry storage.

  • Ensure proper stock rotation using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) principles.

  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and security of all storage areas.

  • Ensure storage temperatures are monitored and recorded where required.

  • Coordinate with the Kitchen, Operations, and Catering teams to ensure timely stock availability.

Housekeeping & Safety

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse and storage environment.

  • Follow Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), food hygiene, and company safety procedures.

  • Assist during audits by preparing inventory records and ensuring compliance with company standards.

General Duties

  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries when required.

  • Support stock transfers between company locations.

  • Assist in disposal of expired or damaged goods according to company procedures.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • No experience needed

  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and accountability.

Working Conditions

  • 5 day work week (or as per company roster)

  • Work environment includes warehouse, cold room, freezer, and kitchen production areas.
