Job description
Fairmont The Red Sea is seeking a detail-oriented and organized storekeeper to join our team in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our storeroom operations, ensuring efficient inventory control, and maintaining the highest standards of organization and accuracy. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in supporting the seamless functioning of our luxury resort by managing stock levels, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining comprehensive records of all stored materials and supplies.
Responsibilities include:
Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming goods and supplies, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders
Organize and maintain storage areas in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, ensuring proper categorization and accessibility of items
Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records using inventory management systems and manual documentation
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and report findings to management
Coordinate with department heads and staff to fulfill requisition requests in a timely and professional manner
Implement and maintain proper storage procedures to prevent damage, deterioration, and loss of materials
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health standards, and company policies within the storeroom environment
Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory status, stock movements, and any issues requiring management attention
Manage the rotation of stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to minimize waste and spoilage
Communicate effectively with suppliers, delivery personnel, and internal departments to resolve inventory-related issues
Qualifications
Proven experience in storeroom, warehouse, or inventory management operations
Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
Proficiency in record-keeping and documentation practices
Ability to accurately count, categorize, and track inventory items
Knowledge of inventory management systems and computer proficiency
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physical ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and materials regularly
Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in storage environments
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred: Experience in the hospitality industry or luxury resort operations
Preferred: Forklift operation certification or material handling equipment experience
Preferred: Knowledge of FIFO inventory management methods
Additional information
Understanding of ultra-luxury guest expectations and brand alignment
Experience in project coordination, scheduling, and document control during pre-opening stages
