Storeperson/Driver

A typical day will involve:

• Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
• Receiving, checking and booking in goods against purchase orders and documentation
• Picking, packing, processing and dispatching customer orders
• Delivering products to customers in a safe, courteous and professional manner
• Driving company vehicles while complying with all road rules and traffic regulations
• Providing friendly customer service and sales support to local trades and customers
• Assisting customers with product enquiries, order updates and general branch requests
• Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting stocktakes
• Keeping the warehouse, showroom and yard clean, organised and presentable
• Operating forklifts and other equipment safely
• Working collaboratively with the branch team to meet customer and operational requirements
• Supporting other branch duties as required — we are a small team, and everyone plays an important part
• Upholding Rexel’s strong safety culture and following all workplace health and safety procedures

This role is ideally suited to someone who is dependable, practical and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

You will be:

• A current forklift licence — essential
• A current and unrestricted driver’s licence
• A clean driving record
• Willing to do what is required to support the branch and our customers
• Comfortable working across warehouse, delivery, customer service and sales support duties
• Friendly, approachable and committed to providing exceptional customer service
• Organised, reliable and responsible
• A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• Physically capable of undertaking general warehouse and delivery duties
• Safety-conscious and committed to working safely at all times
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop your skills
• Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, deliveries, customer service, trade counter sales or electrical wholesale would be advantageous. However, we are also open to applicants from other backgrounds who have the right attitude and are willing to learn.
