Stores Attendant
JSW Steel is Seeking a Stores Attendant to join our team!
Key Responsibilities
- Issue parts and materials to employees in accordance with storeroom procedures.
- Receive and physically inspect incoming materials to verify accuracy and condition.
- Enter material issue and receipt records into SAP.
- Maintain and organize receiving and inventory documentation.
- Verify physical receipts and issues for all stock and non-stock materials.
- Ensure compliance with the MRIR (Material Receipt & Inspection Report) process before issuing direct-order materials.
- Prepare and document MRIR reports for all received stock items.
- Store stock and direct-order materials in designated storeroom locations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized storeroom environment.
- Follow plant safety guidelines and established storeroom SOPs.
- Identify low stock items and notify the Stores Supervisor for replenishment.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload materials.
- Perform physical inventory counts and cycle counts of stock items.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 or more years of experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory environment.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, internet use, and data entry.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical materials, including the ability to identify components.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical warehouse tasks.
- Ability to work flexible shifts as required by the work schedule.
- Ability work a rotating shift schedule.
- Experience with SAP ERP systems is preferred.
