Key Responsibilities:
- To select proper hand tool combinations to achieve bend radii called out on customer or Essner Manufacturing supplied Mylar’s, prints, or shop aides.
- To form parts according to customer or Essner Manufacturing supplied Mylar’s, prints, or shop aides.
- To check work to customer or Essner Manufacturing supplied Mylar’s, prints, or shop aides to ensure all products meet all customer specs and requirements.
- To straighten parts using hand tools provided.
- To check work to customer or Essner Manufacturing supplied Mylar’s, prints, or shop aides to ensure all products meet all customer specs and requirements.
- Measures straightened workpiece for conformance with specifications, using straightedge, micrometers, and calipers.
- Must have first piece verified by quality
Essential Duties:
- Straightens metal workpieces to blueprint specifications, using hand tools and knowledge of metal properties:
- Rolls workpiece on flat surface or mounts and rotates it between centers to ascertain irregularities visually or with dial indicator.
- Ability to use a wide variety of basic hand finish tools and equipment.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and instructions.
- Frequently perform work and inspection of precision parts.
- Perform rework assignments as required
- Ensure all parts paperwork and documentation is completed properly
- Enter all data as required
- Inspect finished work to required specification
