Key Responsibilities:

  • To select proper hand tool combinations to achieve bend radii called out on customer or Essner Manufacturing supplied Mylar’s, prints, or shop aides.
  • To form parts according to customer or Essner Manufacturing supplied Mylar’s, prints, or shop aides.
  • To check work to customer or Essner Manufacturing supplied Mylar’s, prints, or shop aides to ensure all products meet all customer specs and requirements.
  • To straighten parts using hand tools provided.
  • To check work to customer or Essner Manufacturing supplied Mylar’s, prints, or shop aides to ensure all products meet all customer specs and requirements.
  • Measures straightened workpiece for conformance with specifications, using straightedge, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Must have first piece verified by quality

Essential Duties:

  • Straightens metal workpieces to blueprint specifications, using hand tools and knowledge of metal properties:
    • Rolls workpiece on flat surface or mounts and rotates it between centers to ascertain irregularities visually or with dial indicator.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of basic hand finish tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and instructions.
  • Frequently perform work and inspection of precision parts.
  • Perform rework assignments as required
  • Ensure all parts paperwork and documentation is completed properly
  • Enter all data as required
  • Inspect finished work to required specification
