Strategic Account Development Associate

This role is focused on building meaningful engagement with financial advisors within strategic wealth management firms.
You’ll partner closely with Strategic Account Executives and Solutions teams to create momentum across enterprise sales opportunities.
From targeted prospecting to product demonstrations and workshops, you’ll help turn advisor interest into lasting internal champions.
You’ll develop a deep understanding of advisor workflows, investment conversations, and client-facing needs.
Your insights will directly shape account strategies, messaging, demonstrations, and product feedback.
The role combines relationship building, commercial judgment, research, and proactive outbound engagement in a collaborative environment.

Accountabilities:
- Develop and own advisor engagement plans for target wealth management firms, aligned with broader strategic account plans.
- Research target organizations, identify relevant advisor groups, and build focused, high-quality outreach lists.
- Execute consistent outbound engagement through email, phone, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
- Convert prospecting activity into advisor meetings, product demonstrations, roundtables, workshops, and other engagement opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships with advisors and develop a strong understanding of how they research investments, formulate recommendations, create proposals, and communicate advice to clients.
- Identify potential internal champions, deepen their understanding of the platform, and equip them to advocate for its value within their organizations.
- Maintain disciplined follow-up throughout the enterprise sales cycle and ensure engagement activity, insights, and next steps are accurately documented in the CRM.
- Leverage advisor feedback and engagement insights to strengthen account messaging, presentations, demonstrations, and sales strategies.
- Share recurring advisor needs, market observations, and customer feedback with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
- Contribute to a coordinated account strategy by creating engagement momentum and supporting Strategic Account Executives throughout the sales process.
- 2–4 years of experience in wealth management, ideally in roles such as internal wholesaler, internal sales consultant, associate advisor, or associate financial planner.
- Practical understanding of financial advisor workflows, investment research, recommendations, proposals, and client conversations.
- Comfortable conducting proactive outbound outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, and similar channels.
- Strong relationship-building skills and confidence delivering product demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and group sessions.
- Strong commercial judgment, with the ability to distinguish genuine buying interest, identify potential champions, and create momentum within complex accounts.
- Persistent, curious, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of an engagement strategy from planning through execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong research, planning, organization, and follow-up abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Solutions, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.
- Strong ability to synthesize advisor feedback and translate it into actionable recommendations.
- Relevant Canadian or U.S. industry credentials are an asset, including CSC, CIM, CFP, CFA, SIE, or applicable securities registrations.
- A growth-oriented mindset and willingness to learn are highly valued; candidates who do not meet every listed requirement but can demonstrate strong potential are encouraged to apply.
- Expected base salary for Ontario-based or eligible candidates: CAD $70,000–$95,000.
