Strategic Account Executive, BFSI

This is a high-impact enterprise sales role focused on growing strategic relationships across the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance sector. You will own a key territory and drive full-cycle land-and-expand sales within complex Fortune 500 organizations. Working with C-suite executives, digital product leaders, and other senior stakeholders, you will uncover business challenges and develop compelling, value-driven solutions. The role combines consultative selling, strategic account planning, and sophisticated deal management. You will build data-backed business cases that demonstrate measurable ROI while navigating long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. Success requires strong commercial judgment, relationship-building skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-growing, high-performance environment.
Accountabilities
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans focused on high-priority enterprise accounts, maintaining a healthy and consistent pipeline of new and expansion opportunities.
- Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation, closing, and transition to delivery teams.
- Consistently achieve and exceed annual revenue and quota targets by identifying, developing, and closing complex enterprise opportunities.
- Navigate sophisticated buying environments involving multiple stakeholders, organizational structures, and extended sales cycles while maintaining accurate forecasts.
- Conduct deep, consultative discovery to understand customer challenges and collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored, solution-oriented proposals.
- Build compelling business cases that quantify customer value, demonstrate ROI, and communicate the strategic benefits of proposed solutions.
- Establish trusted relationships with C-suite executives, digital product leaders, and other senior decision-makers across strategic accounts.
- Partner with delivery and customer-facing teams after the sale, participating in kickoff meetings and key milestones to support long-term customer success and expansion.
- Use enterprise sales methodologies, CRM platforms, prospecting technologies, and AI-enabled tools to improve account development and sales execution.
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance sales culture by sharing insights, best practices, and market intelligence across the broader team.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS sales, preferably with substantial experience selling into Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance organizations.
- Demonstrated history of consistently exceeding sales quotas and closing complex enterprise transactions in the $500K–$1M+ range.
- Proven ability to manage strategic accounts and build trusted relationships with senior executives throughout lengthy and complex buying processes.
- Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles, account planning, pipeline development, forecasting, negotiation, and land-and-expand strategies.
- Experience developing data-driven business cases and clearly communicating financial and strategic ROI to executive audiences.
- Familiarity with enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC/MEDPICC and experience using CRM, prospecting, and AI-powered sales tools.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, discovery, and negotiation skills, with an emphasis on creating mutually beneficial customer outcomes.
- Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and strategic judgment, with the ability to translate customer challenges into actionable commercial opportunities.
