Strategic Accounts Manager
The Strategic Accounts Manager sells the organizations products and services to a specific sector and/or target accounts in various major US cities that are of significant strategic importance to the organization. The Manager represents IAA and maintains contact with accounts at a high executive level, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship. Responsible for expanding and retaining named accounts while ensuring ongoing customer service.
The posted hiring range represents a general guideline; compensation will be determined using location‑based market data across North America and may vary accordingly.
- Responsible for selling products and/or services to a specific sector and or target accounts in various major US cities that are strategic in nature and of significant long-term success to the organization.
- Maintains contact with accounts at executive level, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship.
- Harvest opportunities within assigned account(s) and grow revenue by increasing penetration and expansion.
- Lead and coordinate both internal/external resources to meet customer goals.
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual individual and team quota targets.
- Work directly with and provide regular communication to the Auction Manager on activities, contract status and overall sales progressions in target opportunities.
- Utilize Salesforce to document and drive the sales process with customers
- Represent IAA at professional groups and trade shows.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years Strategic Sales Account experience
- Experience in Rental/OEM/Transportation, consulting, large program and account management would be an asset.
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) in English, especially when it comes to listening.
- Strong presentation, strategic thinking, negotiation and closing skills.
- A natural ability at building authentic customer relations with all levels of management.
- A head for numbers, and the ability to make sound decisions quickly in a fast-paced setting.
- Be able to operate successfully in a rapidly changing, ambiguous and less defined environment.
- Ability to work within a “virtual” corporate culture – work with remote employees.
- A strong work ethic without sacrificing your sense of humor or ability to have fun on the job.
